Our Story
It started with a simple observation: outdoor athletes — the same ones who would never step on a field without shin guards, helmets, or cleats — were spending hours under peak UV rays with zero sun protection. Not because they didn't care. Because no one had made it feel like something that belonged in their culture.
theUVproject was founded to change that. We're a youth-powered movement with a clear mission: close the UV education gap for high school and college athletes and outdoor youth communities by making sun safety feel as natural as any other part of the game.
We don't lecture. We don't use clinical language. We show up where athletes are — at practice, at tournaments, at community events — and we make protection normal.
Rebrand. Normalize. Expand. Sun protection shouldn't feel like a health class warning label. It should feel like part of the pre-game routine. Through high-energy content, direct community engagement, and student-led chapters, we're building a generation that doesn't think twice about SPF.

What Drives Us
Awareness isn't enough. We get sunscreen into hands, into locker rooms, and into routines.
Every chapter, every campaign, every idea comes from students who get it because they live it.
We don't fight culture — we shift it. Sun safety belongs in the same conversation as recovery, nutrition, and training.
